Theo Pratt was born into Gloriavale and cast out at 18 — dropped at a bus stop with no knowledge of the outside world — and has since rebuilt her life as a qualified occupational therapist and homeowner in Auckland. Her book Unveiled tells the story of surviving Gloriavale, written to help others who grew up in controlled environments feel seen. Theo speaks to unveil the community’s secrets and to empower other survivors to break free from the cycle of abuse.
